About Acipayam
Acipayam is a town and a rural district of Denizli Province in high country between the Aegean and Mediterranean regions of Turkey. A plain, watered by two supplies, known for developing melons and watermelons, out and about between the city of Denizli and Antalya. It covers a zone of 1700 km² and the height is 895 m. The locale has a populace of 57,533 of which 13,700 live in the city of Acipayam. The name Acıpayam implies severe almond in the neighborhood tongue, the town was some time ago named Garbipayam and Garbikaraagac.
The plain has been settled since 2000 BC, and Hittites were here in 1500 BC, trailed by the Ancient Greeks and more civic establishments up to the Byzantines and afterward the entry of the Turkish people groups. In the past the general population would relocate occasionally to pick tobacco or cotton in different parts of Turkey, today this isn't vital.
