Wat Chedi Luang

Wat Chedi Luang is a Buddhist sanctuary in the memorable focal point of Chiang Mai, Thailand. The present sanctuary grounds were initially comprised of three sanctuaries Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Ho Tham and Wat Sukmin.

The development of the sanctuary began in the fourteenth century, when King Saen Muang Ma intended to cover the slag of his dad there. Following 10 years of building time it was left incomplete, later to be proceeded after the passing of the lord by his dowager. Most likely because of security issues it took until the mid-fifteenth century to be done amid the rule of lord Tilokaraj.
