About Wat Bua Khwan
Wat Bua Kwan is an old temple from the period of King Rama V. These days it is considered as the third grade royal temple in Thailand.
Orginally, this temple was only a house of the priest. However, when the quantity of priests began to build, it was changed into a temple on 24th June 1892 named "Wat Sakae" started by Prakru Preechachalerm from Wat Chalermprakiat Voraviharn and was likewise regarded as the primary abbot. After that in year 1948, Pra Atikarn Payoong Jattamalo from Wat Kampaeng was welcome to be the abbot after the past abbot passed away.
Wat Bua Kwan was offered the second rate class royal temple on 29th June 2008 and on 14th December 2012, the abbot of this sanctuary was allowed the position of the bad habit senior member of Nonthaburi region.
