About Thung Si Mueang
Wat Thung Si Mueang was built during amid the rule of King Rama III 1824-1851 to houses a copy of Buddha's impression. Besides that, the most wonderful structure in the temple is maybe the wooden Tripitaka Library Ho Trai that was intended to sit on the stilts amidst the pool to keep the materials from bugs ants and termites. The design here is a blend of Laos and Rattanakosin styles Rattanakosin alludes to the time after 1782, when Bangkok was the capital of Thailand. Beside the Tripitaka Library is the Ho Phra Buddha Bot and the Wihan appointment lobby.
