About Teelorsu Waterfall
Tee Lor Su is known to be the 6th most beautiful waterfall of the world and the largest of Thailand. In the Karen language the meaning of the waterfall matches very well with the reality. The fall originates from the stream called Huai Klo Tor. The first level is surrounded by deep green forests and an expanse of rocky ground which is appropriate for walking around and getting relaxed. The second level of the fall is a rock- face of huge yellow limestone covered with water running down towards the dazzling green pond. The rapids on the third and highest level are very strong, what makes it simply aloof for visitors. Tourists who are not willing to go down to the water, but want to enjoy the ambiance, they can trek to the beauty spot at another hill. It is located right opposite to this fall. Whole view of the amazing Tee Lor Su Waterfall can be enjoyed from this hill. The trek to this hill is quite steep, exhausting, and slippery. One can plan the trip for one day and can spend the night at Dm Phang town. But if you have got sufficient time, then you must not miss the opportunity of spending nights in a tent near the national park office. The road is quite steep and winding. So, if you are not expert enough of driving in such a track, then better to board a bus or buy a travel package in Urn Phang town.
Rafting at Tee Lor Su Waterfall:
Apart from watching the ambiance of the site, tourists could also go on rafting along the stream to Tee Lor Su Waterfall. It is indeed a very interesting activity. Though, it is a short rafting course, but the scenario along the riverbank is charming. The ride starts from Um Phang town, and the boat runs along the Mae Klong River.
Pha Leud-Pha Bong:
If you can move across the cliff area, you can spot some other attractive destinations like Pha Leud Cliff. It is a grand cliff having fresh red spots on it. Pha Bong is an incredibly huge hole in a limestone cliff. The best period to visit Tee Lor Su Waterfall is from October to May. The season is suitable for the tourists as one can travel conveniently by boat, car, and on foot. But, if you wish to witness the most impressive look of the waterfall, then the time period between June to November is perfect.
