Tak
About Tak
Tak is a town in north-west Thailand, which is a capital of the Tak Province and the Tak region. Starting at 2005 the town had a population of 19,900 and a region of 7.27 km². It surrounds the tambon Rahaeng, Nong Luang, Chiang Ngoen, and Hua Diat. It is on the Ping River, 418 km north-north-west of Bangkok. Tak is situated on the Ping River, which keeps running from north to south through the town. While the land toward the east is genuinely level, the Tenasserim Hills and Dawna Range deceive the west.
Tak has a tropical savanna atmosphere. The storm season keeps running from May through October, with overwhelming precipitation and fairly cooler temperatures amid the day, despite the fact that evenings stay warm. Highway 105, through Mae Sot, frames one of two noteworthy transnational streets through the Tenasserim Hills to Burma. Highway 1, called the Phahonyothin Road, goes through Tak. On the north side it prompts Lampang, Chiang Rai, and the outskirt with Burma at Mae Sai. On the south side it prompts Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Sawan, and Bangkok. Highway 12 drives east to Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Chum Phae, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, and the outskirt with Laos at Mukdahan. Tak is served by Tak Airport.
