Puente del Comun Chia
About Puente del Comun Chia
The bridge of the Common one is a scaffold that dates of the provincial time on the Bogota stream (before called Funza waterway), in the region of Chia (Cundinamarca). Found thirty kilometers from Bogota, this extension, worked in 1796, is as yet protected. It is worked as the main scaffold for mechanized vehicles until well into the second 50% of the twentieth century. These days it is kept in great condition and can be gone to.
The bridge has a length of thirty-two meters. It is an extension in furnished land, stone and block with five curves and four columns inside the riverbed. A bigger circular segment outlines the focal light and the side lights create in progressively littler bends towards the projections. The sidelong dividers are decorated with twelve pilasters of pyramidal delegated, beat by round adornments and set in an area of the parapets. The finishing of the parapets of the squares is set apart with formed sections, of ninety centimeters in stature, which bolster excellent vases.
Its development dates from 1796 and is because of the dynamic soul of Viceroy Jose de Ezpeleta. Under the command of King Charles IV, Ezpeleta, endowed the development of the scaffold to design Lieutenant Colonel Domingo Esquiaqui, being, as indicated by the emissary, "the main wise subject and ready to do as such as per the principles of craftsmanship."
