Philatelic Museum

It was once a main post office in Chiang Mai. In 1990, Fine Art Department decided to create a post office museum to show past artifacts as well as old stamps and sell issues to today collectors. This museum urges you to remember when people were still writing letters, buying stamps and going to the post office to send messages, the days before SMS and internet. Although it’s not so big museum but is an interesting place to visit. This Museum displays a huge collection of postage stamps from Thailand and elsewhere, some of which are internationally awarded while some of them are rare items exclusively shown here . It’s located across limping police station.

Opening hours Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am. - 4 pm. Museum is closed on Monday.
