About Phichit
Phichit is a territory changwat of Thailand. It lies 330 km due north of Bangkok. Neighboring regions are from north clockwise Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, and Kamphaeng Phet. The town of Phichit was built up in 1058 by Phraya Kotabongtheaja, and was initial segment of the Sukhothai Kingdom, and later of Ayutthaya. An old sanctuary in Pho Prathap Chang District is Wat Pho Prathap Chang. It was worked by Phra Chao Suea, an Ayutthaya lord, in 1701 at a site presumed to be his origination. The site is encompassed by twofold dividers and immense trees, some of which are more than 200 years of age.
The name of the primary city changed a few times. At first it was called Sa Luang 'city of the illustrious lake'. In Ayutthaya times it was called Okhaburi 'city in the marsh', and afterward at long last Phichit 'lovely city'. The common seal demonstrates a lake, which alludes to the old name of Phichit, Mueang Sa Luang "city of the regal lake". The banyan tree in front alludes to Wat Pho Prathap Chang. The sanctuary was worked in 1669-1671 by King Luang Sorasak, who was conceived in the town of Pho Prathap Chang, between a banyan and a consecrated fig. The banner of Phichit demonstrates the roundabout common seal in the center. It has three green bars and two white flat bars, with the center bar being hindered by the seal. The common tree is the ironwood. The common bloom is the lotus.
