Khao lumpee Waterfalls and Thai Muang Beach

Khao Lam Pee-Khao Tai Muang National Park is named after the famous Khao lumpee Waterfalls & Thai Muang Beach. Being the 52nd national park of Thailand, the park covers an area of 72 square kilometers. Lam Pee Mountain -Tai Muang Beach National Park is located at the eastern part of Andaman coast. There are basically two separate geographical areas- Had Thai Muang beach area at sea and Khao Lumpi mountain area. Had Thai Muang head quarters and beach area is located at a distance of 6 km from Thai Muang town. The area comprises of 14 km beach edged with Casuarina trees. The Tai Muang is situated on the Coast of Andaman Sea. The beach ends at the Kham Bay Peninsula, which is also known as Giant Face Mountain. The eastern part of the park contains a huge bluish water canal which gets fresh water from Lam Pee Mountain. The area houses the fertile primary rainforest. There are number of mountains which constitute the Lam Pee area. The weather of the mountain area is influenced by the southwestern monsoon wind which bears powerful wind between May and October. As a result of which the place meets with frequent raining. The time between December and April is better known for the dry season when a little bit cloud appears on the sky, which results in rain and higher temperature. Thus, the suitable time for travelling here is December-April.

Lam Pee Waterfall
There is an amazing waterfall which is enclosed to forested hills in the inland section of the park. The waterfall is situated around 14 km from the park headquarters. To get to the waterfall area, you will not face any sort of problem. There are quite a few elements for sighting around the waterfall area. It is a local attraction and accompanied by a pool best for swimming at the foot of the fall. You can purchase some good meals and drinks from the stalls located nearby the waterfall.

Thai Mueang Beach
Thai Mueang Beach is a protected nesting site for 2 species of sea turtles- the Olive Ridley and the Leatherback. The female turtles reach here between November and April to lay their eggs. Though now days very less number of turtles come ashore. During nesting season park staff takes special care of the eggs so that outsiders cannot take them away.
