Maswa

Maswa is a town in Simiyu Region of Tanzania. It is the executive seat of Maswa District.The population of Maswa town - consisting of Binza and Nyalikungu wards - is 26,597.Maswa District is one of the 5 districts of the Simiyu Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by using Magu District and Itilima District, to the east via the Meatu District, to the south with the aid of the Kishapu District, and to the west via the Kwimba District. Its administrative centre is the metropolis of Maswa.

According to the 2002 Tanzanian National Census, the population of Maswa District is 304,402. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of Maswa District was 344,125. The motorway that connects Shinyanga Region and Mara Region trunk road T36 passes via Maswa metropolis. The Central Line railway from Tabora to Mwanza passes thru the district from south to north and there's one teach station inside the district's limitations on the village of Malampaka.
