About Kaohsiung Museum of History
Kaohsiung Museum of History is a historical center situated in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is regulated by the Kaohsiung City Government. The working of the historical center was initially the Kaohsiung City Hall. It was composed by Japanese draftsman Oono Yonezirou, working with the Shimizu Corporation under the Japanese government, and finished in 1939. After 1945, the city lobby was renamed to Kaohsiung Municipal Government. On 18 January 1992, the metropolitan government moved to Union Office Building and the old building was transformed into the Kaohsiung Museum of History which was opened on 25 October 1998.
The building's design is a case of the Japanese Imperial Crown style. It was worked with fortified cement for seismic obstruction, as Taiwan is inclined to quakes. The outside of the building utilized the army installation shade of light green. It general embraced the fundamental pinnacle with respectively symmetrical sub-towers style. The fundamental pinnacle is situated on the highest point of the fourth floor. Both of the primary pinnacle and sub-towers at the two sides were included with customary Japanese four sharp corner top and coated tile rooftop. They were improved with Aquarius style tower, plum blooms examples of raindrops and Japanese chrysanthemum example of strips. The dividers of the building were etched with a wide range of adornments and the windows were made with dazzling and creativity workmanship.
