About Hualien
Hualien City is a county-administered city and the county seat of Hualien County, Taiwan. It is located on the east coast of Taiwan on the Pacific Ocean, and has a population of 106,368 inhabitants. The Spaniards built mines for gold in Hualien in 1622. Permanent settlements started out in 1851, whilst 2,200 Han Chinese farmers led via Huang A-fong from Taipei arrived at Fengchuan now the region close to Hualien Rear Station. In 1875, greater farmers, led through Lin Cang-an from Yilan, settled at Fengchuan.
Hualien City is the middle of politics, financial system and transportation of Hualien County. Hualien City is the center of import and export buying and selling due to its strategic area in the county and its proximity to airport and fundamental harbor. It also has wealthy tourism industries, starting from traveller objects, motels and so forth. One of its innovative industry is the nearby stone artwork cultural industry. There are 3 universities, 12 senior high schools, 4 junior excessive colleges, 16 basic schools, 37 churches and 31 temples.
