About Khalid ibn al-Walid Mosque

The Khalid ibn al-Walid Mosque is a mosque in Homs, Syria, situated in a recreation centre along Hama Street in fiery remains Shuhada Square. Noted for its Ottoman-Turkish design style, the mosque is devoted to Khalid ibn al-Walid, an Arab military officer who drove the Muslim success of Syria in the seventh century following the unequivocal Battle of Yarmouk, which put a conclusion to Byzantine control in Syria. His vault topped tomb is situated in an edge of the petition corridor and has filled in as a journey focus.

Two tall minarets with tight exhibitions built of substituting even lines of white and dark stone are arranged at the building's north-western and north-eastern comers and mirror the customary Islamic design style of the Levant.
