About Bab al-Faraj Clock Tower
Bab al-Faraj Clock Tower is one of the primary historic points of Aleppo, Syria. It was worked in 1898-1899 by the French draftsman of Aleppo city Charles Chartier with the assistance of the Syrian designer Bakr Sidqi, under the Ottoman leader of Aleppo; w?li Raif Pasha.It is situated close to the recorded door of Bab al-Faraj, neighboring the working of the National library.
The development of the pinnacle cost a total of 1,500 Ottoman lira. Half of the cost was gathered through gifts while the other half was paid by the municipality.The outline of the pinnacle takes after the old Islamic minarets with four comparative façades, finished with conventional oriental muqarnas.
