Worb Castle
About Worb Castle
The Worb Castle Worb Castle was built before 1130. Initially there was a keep, magnificent hall and a night house. It was renovated and repaired in 1469 and again in 1594. A new residential wing was added to the palace in 1643. In 1734 a new ornate manor house was built near the old palace, which was built by Franz Ludwig von Griffrid, the son of Christoph von Griffrid. This new property was known as Neurovarb, but it was also called Neushlaus or New Castle.
In 1846, two estates were acquired by the Gomons-Sinner family. In 1964, the Sealhofer family bought the old castle, while the New Castle was purchased in 1985 by the von Griffrid family. The property of another country was built in 1730 in the village of Richberg for the Stiller family. Later, Richgne went to Manor Stattlers to von Vettelwell family and then to the Dolphus von Volkersburg family.
