About Town Wall
Lower 15 layers of stone date before the construction of the cities 12th century. There are eight scenes of Murten's Battle in 1476 on the wall of the city. The pictures of the panorama painted by Louis Braun painted in 1894 were used in the sequence of a visual correspondence between a natural landscape painting. Some texts, even in Middle High German, have been translated to facilitate understanding. Long sentences were broken down and enhanced with additions like 'Confederate' or 'un Burgundy'.
Anyone wishing to pursue history should refer to the literature referenced. This exhibition has been donated by Fariburg Military Officer Cantt Association of Lake District, Section of Lake District 150th Anniversary 2014. Historical Consultant: Dr. Jurgen Stuussi- Loterberg Children are allowed only on the walls along with adults. It is forbidden to bend the guardrail or to go out of the wall. Come out at your own risk. They do not consider any responsibility in the event of an accident.
