About Thun Castle
Thun Castle is a castle in the city of Thun, in the Swiss canton of Bern. Today is Thun Castle Museum, and is a Swiss heritage site of national importance. During the early Middle Ages, there was a small fort and church at the top of the palace hill. The palace was built between the 1180s and 1190s between the Duke of Bertold of Zuckeringen, which still preserves the Knights' Hall at the German level: Ritter. The 14-meter long night hall was built as the center of the Zahringen monument's power. Although, the family was never in the palace, the Burger castles give priority to it.
In 1218 it was inherited by the Quebec House, which built upper levels on the Zarong Castle. Due to a dispute in 1322, his brother Hartmann II was murdered in the palace in the palace, Eberhard II von Kieberg, to dispute the rule of Southern Quebrland. To save his newly acquired land from Habsburgs Eberhard II, he sold them to Bern and immediately returned it as a thief. The Korgans ruled this area for almost two centuries, until the failed raid on Solburn was not started by Rudolph II in 1382. After several wars of the Bergdörförring grave Creek Bernie, Curbubus was forced to accept an adverse peace. In 1384, Bern bought Thanh and Burgdorf, which was the most important city of Karenburg land. The palace came under control of the Bernese and became the seat of his local administration.
