About Stapferhaus
Established in 1960 as a meeting place and intellectual encounter by Prof. Helvetia, Prof. Argovia, Schloss Lennzburg Foundation and the New Helvetic Society, Stapferus Lennzberg was founded. Today, the institution is funded mainly by the Canton of Argou, the Swiss Arts Council, Prof. Helvetia and Lenzburg City. Private foundations, mentors and sponsors provide support related to the project. Staffarhaus works in the interface between culture and science and appeals to a wider audience with his work.
Staffarhaus was led by Martin Mayer until 1991, and from 1992 to 2002, by Hans Ulrich Glenner from 2002 to 2011 it was organized in the co-direction of Beat Hachler and Cibil Listensteiner. Since 2011, Sibel Lichtenstein is the head of Staphferras. The founder of the Stapferus Foundation was a building built on the name of Philip Albert Staufer in Seat Schloss Lanezberg. Since the summer of 2018, the Staferhouse Foundation is building a new building directly at Lenzburg Train Station.
