About Niederwil
Niederwil is a municipality in Bremgarten district in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. The first marks of human settlement near Niederwil are the axles of many scattered Neolithic stones. During the Roman era, there was a small settlement. The church has ruins of a Roman era wall, and there was a Roman treasury, which is now Rimeteto. A 7th century iron spear was discovered in the municipality, but all details of the search were lost. The village of Niderville was first mentioned in 924 as Villarre.
The rights of higher judiciary were held in whole high and late Middle Ages by the counts of Lenzburg. After their extinction, the rights were organized by the House of Habsburg, and after the 1415 Aragau conquest, they were organized by the Old Swiss Confederation. The rights of the lower judiciary were kept by the Shioinis AB in the guest. 2007, Niederwil's unemployment rate was 1.93%.
