About Menziken
Menziken is a municipality in the Kullam district of Canton of Aargau in Switzerland. Menziken is mentioned for the first time as Manzinchouen in 1045, although it comes from the 14th century copy of the original document. In 1295 it was mentioned as Menschon. However, the current site of Menaceken was first settled. Both the ruins of the Roman era and the two tombs of Almanani have been discovered in the municipality. During the high Middle Ages, it was owned by the Counties of Lenzburg.
It went to Quebec and after the extinction of the Kirby Line, it went to Hobsburghs at 12. Habsburgs hold the right to higher judiciary, while their zamindars, the Lord's of the Ranch, hold the rights of less justice. From the conquest of Aragua in 1415 to the construction of the Helvetic Republic in 1798, the village was under the influence of Berno. At that time, Menziken belonged to the District of Lenzburg German: Oberamt.
With the creation of the Canton of Argou, through the Act of Mediation in 1803, Menzeline became a municipality in the new Canton. Manzachen's formation of Middle Ages was part of the Catholic Parish of Fafian. After the introduction of Protestant Reformation in 1528, it was initially part of the Gontenschwill Parish and then the parish of Renac. It became an independent parish of Menziken-Burg in 1889-90, with the construction of its own church. Catholic Meniscine-Rhinch Diaspora Parish was created in 1906-07 when St. Anne's Church was built in the municipality.
