About Granichen
Granichen is a municipality in the district of Arau of Canton of Argou, Switzerland. The first mention of Grancien's history was around the name of Cranchen around 1184. However, archaeological discoveries dating to the Neolithic as well as the remains of a Celtic castle show that the area around Granai Chen has been settled for a long time. Granaiachen was related to the monastery of Engelberg in the 12th century and later came during the reign. Habsburgs, who had passed the government of the village at Lords of the Palace of Liebgegue.
