You can get the transport to the mouth of this gorge and be there in ten minutes from Grindelwald's station.

The gorge was cut by the Lower Grindelwald, which has withdrawn essentially up the slant since the Little Ice Age in the medieval times.

Walkways have been secured to the dividers of the gorge, and in summer you can even make utilization of the "SpiderWeb", an extensive net suspended over the thundering meltwater.

The walkways convey you a kilometer in the gorge and you'll go underneath climbers and canyoners climbing up or rappelling down the rough shake faces.
