Esterliturm
About Esterliturm
Estherlitum is an observation tower from reinforced concrete in the south of Lenzburg in Switzerland. Built in 1974, the tower is made up of 19 concrete pipe sections of 2.50 meters height and its total height is 48 meters. The 45 meter high viewing platform is reached through 253 stairs and through a staircase inside the tower. This tower is not the first at this place. In early 1906, a first estertalturm made of wood was made. In about 15 - 20 minutes, the hiking trail from Eligisville leads to the lookout tower.
The tower offers a panoramic view from the Black Forest to the Alps. The eight non-panoramic panels of 1977/1978 inform visitors about the technical data of the potential scene and tower. In the western part of the estrelitum you will find the name "Estherly" on the map. It used to be a livestock route in the pasture forest between Lenzburg and Iglisville. The first esthetillum was standing there and was bigger than the current high seat for the predators. Therefore, the name of the esteriltum comes in the form of the derivative of the name of this region. You can visit this place with your loved ones.
