About Chene Bougeries
Chene-Bougeries is a municipality in Geneva, Switzerland. It recently crossed the symbolic barrier of 10,000 residents and thus became a city officially. Chan-Burgeris is mentioned for the first time in 1270 as quarrels. In 1801 it was referred to as Chine-Les-Boggers. In most part of its history, Cezanne-Burgers was inhabited, neither did the Romans nor the Genevas settled there. One important concern for the people of the leprosy was the leprosy hospital which had occupied the share of the Commune; This is only when the disease was defeated around the 16th century that Chine-Burgeris had actually started developing.
During the French Revolution, the area was captured by the French. In 1798, the commune was forced to merge with neighboring Commune of Chene-Thonex and Chene-Bourg, which was to create a new unit, Tris-Chene. In 1801, however, it was able to gain status of autonomous commune, while Chain-Thanonux and Chine-Borg remained integrated. In 1816, Chan-Boguris became a part of a new Swiss Geneva, in the form of other neighboring communes. Incidentally, Chone-Thonnex was later called Thanonux, when in 1869 disintegration with Cheane-Borg created a new separation.
Three sects are still referred to as Trois-Chene and close relations are still in progress. Social security, medical assistance, cultural offerings and work on the infrastructure of the game, to name a few, work in close cooperation between the three. While it used to be an agricultural commune for most of its history, Chan-Boguris, due to the situation near Geneva city, became essentially residential, which attracts the middle for very high revenue families.
