About Bischofszell
Bischofszell is a municipality in the Weinfelden district in the Canton of Thurgau in Switzerland. This is the seat of the district. In 1987, the city was awarded the Walker Award for the protection of its heritage. Therefore, in 1999 its neighboring town was Hauptwil-Gottshaus. In the beginning of the 18th century, Bischoffel was already the city of the rose. The beautiful Baroque garden provided the city a unique splendor. The glory of the first years was lifted again. So many public rose gardens have been made today Eighty-Two Bridges on Thur is the longest-lived medieval bridge in Switzerland.
According to legend, a woman from Hohenjordond made a stone bridge to douse her two sons into the flood. Otherwise, instead of a normal bridge fee, an owner should pray for all the mothers in the world. After the fires of 1743 by the famous master builder Johan Kaspar Baganato, the delicate Baroque building was constructed. Excellent plaster work and Burger's top is the most beautiful bisphoszalar ballroom, specially worth seeing. The Colisecr of Cherhainstft in the 13th century is also Church and parish church from 1535 to 1968. Today, Cathay is owned. Parish Michaels Capel is of 14th century and was rebuilt in 1970-1973.
