About Aargau Jura Park
Aargau Jura Park is located in the north of Aro, between the Aare and the Rhine rivers in Swiss Canton of Arugu. It extends the boundary between Jura and Basel. It stretches 244 square kilometers 94 square miles and is 350 meters above the bottom of the valley. The park is mainly located on the Jurassic Plateau, between Frick and Villegen, and the Aragon Jura contains mountains and valleys. In the northern region, there are rare pine forests, fruit gardens, rocky fields, dry meadows and terraced vineyards, while southern region fosters forests and wildlife.
It was d a regional park of national importance by the Federal Office for Environment in 2012. Villages Herznach and Wolfinswil traditionally mined ore in the park and thus, left many studs.
