About Aadorf
Aadorf is a municipality in the district of Mückville in the camp of Thurgau of Switzerland. In 1996, Athenausen, Guttersonson B.A. Edwards and Willenwell merged with Adorph. Aadorf was first mentioned in 886 as a Ahdorf. The oldest recorded record of Tetnikon's date is 789 as Tennichova. Tanikon is also the site of the Tanikon monastery, which was founded in the 13th century. Awangen first mentioned in 844 as Oninvank. Ettenhausen was first mentioned in 1278 as Oetenhuse. On April 6, 1358, the brothers Hermann and Beringer von Landberg and Hermann von Landberg donated Aadorf's church to Ruthie Ebe. The area of the municipality was extended in 1996. When it absorbs the neighboring municipalities of Aawangen, Ettenhausen, Guntershausen bei Aadorf and Wittenfil. As of 2008, it was the seventh largest municipality of canton. Since the Hollstadt period, it was discovered near Elg and west of Brugvingart. Bachwiesen archeological site found bronze and scattered scattered remains from the Roman era.
