Vallentuna

Vallentuna is a town- crossing urban area , mainly located in Vallentuna municipality in Stockholm County but also including Taby church village in Taby municipality . The Vallentuna area of ​​the urban area is the central town in Vallentuna municipality and is a church village in Vallentuna parish. One of the first schools, Veda school, was put into use as early as 1884 and was then called Ubby school.In the 1930s and 1940s, there were, among others, the public schools Roda Skolan,

Vita skolan and Hjälmstaskolan. The latter is still being operated. There were also two brickworks in the central area , a number of food stores and country traders , a station house with serving, a police station, a cinema and more. Vallentuna was only moderately affected by World War II . Local residents did military service , dealt with ration cards and engaged in fundraising. Regular sources of income were incurred and the number of people who sought help from the family contribution committee increased.
