About Valla Wood
Valla Wood is a nature reserve in the municipality of Linköping, inside the county of Ostergotland, Sweden. It is the forested location nearest the city centre. Because the main campus of the University of Linköping lies on the other facet of it, many students and workers cycle back and forth daily at the small street through it. Smaller paths and forest trails are used by humans going for walks, taking walks, birdwatching, and orienteering. At four hundred hectares, Valla Wood has been defined as an oasis inside the center of the town. Valla Wood lies right beside two critical neighbours: Valla Farm and Old Linkoping.
These three need to be taken into consideration as a group. The concept is that traffic can see how the land became used in Sweden long in the past and the connections among village, forest, and farm. Cattle grazed inside the Wood up until the Nineteen Thirties. Currently sheep graze in one fenced-off place. The Wood's fauna includes the whole thing from insects and frogs, to birds, hares, or even deer. The flora tiers from the same old lush moss that covers many rocks and fallen logs, to birches, maples, pines, and spruce. Less typical are the orchids and the very vintage o.K.
