Taby

Taby is a municipality in Stockholm County . Municipal management was formerly located in Roslag-Nasby , but moved in 2017 to a new municipal building adjacent to Taby Centrum . The municipality is located in the southeastern part of the Uppland landscape with Stora Värtan and the Baltic Sea in the east. Täby municipality borders east of Österåker municipality , in the southeast of Vaxholm municipality , in the south to Danderyd municipality , to the west to Sollentuna municipality and Upplands Väsby municipality and to the north to Vallentuna municipality , all in Stockholm County. Taby is built on old grounds.

Here people have acted and left traces all the way from the Bronze Age . In 1995, Sweden's oldest skeleton discoveries that were identified were discovered at Broby Bridge. She is called Estrid Sigfastsdotter and lived in the 11th century. The settlements became villages, and the villages communities. Before the appointment to purchase and the municipal reform, only the northern part, which borders Vallentuna , was named Taby.
