Skoghall

Skoghall is a town and central town in the municipality of Hammaro . Skoghall is located about nine kilometers south of Karlstad . The resort lies with a long coast out to Vänern , where the Klaralven river opens. The forest industry and chemical production in Skoghall have been important sources of income for the population in Hammaro parish for a long time. Hammarö was a church village in Hammarö parish where also the town of Skoghall was located which later came to expand so the church village became part of this urban area.

After the municipal reform in 1862 , both towns came to be located in Hammarö county municipality, which in 1950 was converted to Hammaro shopping . In 1971, the purchase was converted to Hammaro municipality with Skoghall as central town. Skoghall belonged and belongs to the Hammarö parish. The resort was in 1882 in Karlstad's district court , then until 1971 in the middle class of the district . From 1971 to 2005, the town of Karlstad's court case was included in 2005 as part of Värmland's court case.
