About Orebro
Orebro is a town with 117,543 inhabitants, the seat of Orebro Municipality and the capital of Örebro County in Sweden. It is the seventh largest town in Sweden and one in all the biggest inland hubs of the country. It is placed close to the lake of Hjalmaren, despite the fact that a few kilometres inland along the small river Svartan. Orebro is home to Orebro University, a main university sanatorium, a medieval castle, the water park Gustavsvik in addition to numerous large shopping malls and the Oset-Rynningeviken nature reserve on the lakefront.
Orebro received its Royal Charter and city privileges now not later than 1404. The call Orebro refers to a bridge crossing the river Svartan wherein the metropolis is placed. The prefix Öre- is derived from ör 'gravel'. The vicinity have become a natural seat of commerce inside the Scandinavian Middle Ages and is cited in print within the thirteenth century. Old homes from the early days include the rules of the town church, a constructing which has gone through numerous modifications.
