Linkoping

Linkoping is a city in southern Sweden, with 158,841 population as of 2018. It is the seventh biggest town in Sweden. It is the seat of Linkoping Municipality and the capital of Ostergotland County. Linkping is also the episcopal see of the Diocese of Linkoping and is widely recognized for its cathedral. Linköping is the middle of an old cultural vicinity and celebrated its 700th anniversary in 1987. Dominating the town's skyline from afar is the steeple of the cathedral, Domkyrka. Nowadays Linkoping is known for its college and its high-technology industry. Linkoping desires to create a sustainable development of the town and consequently plans to turn out to be a carbon neutral network through 2025.

Located at the Ostergotland Plain, Linkoping is closely related to Norrkoping, more or less forty kilometres to the east near the ocean. The town is probable named after the Lionga ting meeting which in step with Medieval Scandinavian laws became the most important element in Östergötland. Exact vicinity of the Lionga ting isn't always regarded, but it was along the Eriksgata. The time period "koping" method there has been a market there.
