Jamtland

Jamtland County is a county or lan inside the middle of Sweden consisting of the provinces of Jamtland and Harjedalen, at the side of minor parts of Halsingland and Ångermanland, plus small uninhabited strips of Lapland and Dalarna. The county capital is Östersund and the county governor, appointed by means of the Swedish authorities, is Jöran Hägglund , who leads the executive board . Jamtland County borders the counties of Dalarna , Gavleborg , Västernorrland , and Västerbotten .

It also shares a border with the Norwegian county of Trondelag . The county became set up in 1810 and its foundation has each domestic and overseas reasons. Upon formation it best consisted of the provinces of Jamtland and Harjedalen, which is why the coat of arms is a guard parted in step with fess with their provincial fingers.
