1. Uttar Pradesh Will Focus on Village Tourism Near Agra
Tourism is the greatest source of income for any state and a medium to strengthen the economy. For this reason, Uttar Pradesh has decided to promote village tourism near Agra to attract more domestic and international tourists to this village those who visit Agra. Village Holipur, which is located in the Bah Tehsil of Agra district, will be promoted on the state tourism website and promo literature. For its development, tourism department has already released Rs. 1 crore. Earlier Barara village was also promoted under village tourism however was never adopted by the department. The officials said that the Haveli of village could be maintained and be brought to its glory along with providing various adventurous tourism to visitors like Chambal safari and Crocodile Sanctuary.
Along with the Holipur, tourism department is also looking forward to promote another village Bateshwar as the new village tourist location. This village has great potential to welcome tourist to view the beautiful temples. Thus, this village will be emerged as the best religious and cultural tourist spot of the state. It has about 101 Shiv temples and amazing sacred Jain sites. Thus, it has its religious importance that will easily attract tourists.
