Have you ever been to any family trip with your Indian colleagues or relatives? Did you find the actual fun involved in such trip? If not, let us tell you how funny the trip can be when you travel with a family. Apart from knowing each other's taste closely, the trip let you experience a few typical Indian manners and activities which are not intolerable but you can't bear with them and finally you would end up bursting out in laughter.
1. Home Made Foods
No matter how close the distance is, if mummy is there at home, she would never forget to remind "aachar ka bottle le liya na"( have you taken the bottle of pickle), or the common expressions like "paranthe kam to nahi ho jaayenge na" (are the paranthas sufficient). And you would find her waking up early morning to pack up dabbas with the favourite "aloo ka paratha".
2. Stopping the car every one hour to 'PEE'
Even though all would make sure their tanks are emptied before leaving home, yet the car might stop every now and then for appearance of the national susu signal 'little finger up'. Fellas! Have you ever thought of the ladies!
3. Selfie
No matter if the view is worth it or not, stopping the car at random spots to take a selfie is something you would hardly miss in any Indian family trip.
4. National Pass Time : Antakshari
And when you start feeling a bit bore, the first proposal from one of the family members, "Antakshari khele?"
5. Family Friendly Games
If you are travelling with a modern family then I am sure Dumb-Charades or Truth and Dare are going to be your favorite pass time.
6. Loud Music
No matter how limited number of songs you have in the music system of your bus or car, without music your journey remains incomplete. Nothing like very standard or classy, a bit of every genre will be played in your system.
7. Sleep
It seems like sleeping and travelling are synonymous to Indian families. Some sleep as soon as the journey starts, while a few just would like to take a nap. Wait! If you get the sound of snoring, don't get surprised.
8. Fights
And suddenly they start fighting on any petty issue without bothering about the place or time. Food was not good or may be one has taken the bigger bite and silly fight starts.
9. Dhabas
Even if the trip is very short, having food at a roadside dhaba adds to the actual fun of a family trip. And believe us search for a good dhaba starts the very next hour you had something in your car. Ask us what all they would ask first for! Aloo k paranthe with chai, dal makhni, shahi paneer and dahi, the national food.
10. Buying Roadside Items
They would prefer to buy street-foods from a rediwala than a restaurant, obviously on kids' demand. Another reason to stop the cars on the mid way.
