From the point, there are 408 steps down to the waterfall which you need to climb. These steps will be a memorable journey for you as these ten minutes walk will stay in your heart forever.  From there you will observe water gushing through rock from a height of 200 feet into multiple streams. It will look quite great and you will actually feel like diving into the water.

Further, you can climb more to reach the top but it’s quite risky so you can stay in midway or take the risk if you want to enjoy the view. So you can sit there and relax and get pictures clicked over there. Once you are over with that climb back those 410 steps and move back towards your vehicle.

According to the popular believes of the people, Kuntala Waterfall got its name from Shakuntala, the beloved wife of King Dushyanth. The best season to visit Hyderabad to Kuntala waterfalls is the monsoons and post-monsoon. It is quite risky to go into the water at the bottom when the water flow is high as there are sharp rocks and twists. The flow of these falls basically relies on the release of water from the Kadam Reservoir. In the rainy season, this waterfall is a little risky so stay safe. Do not visit the place between Jan & July as after July the water becomes less.

To reach their public transport is available till Neredikonda village from where you can hire the private vehicles. The waterfall is situated at quite a peaceful location which offers wonderful views of the nature surrounding the thick forest. The road between Neredikonda and Kuntala is covered with thick vegetation and the drive offers a wonderful experience.

To spend a few hours this place is certainly a great one. So, one should definitely plan a trip from Hyderabad to Kuntala waterfalls.
