-India's oldest and the biggest cricket stadium in India.
-It has been centre of international cricket since 1934 when England played India.
-2nd biggest ground in the world just behind Melbourne cricket ground.
-Eden Gardens posses a capacity of 90,000 and hosted some of the great games in world cricket famously that 1987 World Cup match against Pakisan which India won by 2 wickets.
-On the other hand it has been centre of some worst cricket sportsmanship failures, back in 1996 semifinal match between India and Sri Lanka when it looked like Sri Lanka are going to win crowd started buring stuff in the stadium and match had to be stopped and eventually Sri Lanka won it after ICC intervene.
-There is also a famous saying which goes like this, "A cricketer's career is incomplete, till he plays in front of a packed Eden gardens".
2. Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
Capacity : 45,000
-Was built as the result of a dispute between the Cricket Club of India (that owns the Brabourne Stadium) and the Mumbai Cricket Association over the allocation of tickets for matches.
-This new stadium was erected near the famous Churchgate station - just in time for the final Test between India and the West Indies in 1975.
-Famous cricketing deeds at the ground include Ravi Shastri's six sixes off Tilak Raj in the Ranji Trophy, the 2011 World Cup final which India won by six wickets, Vinod Kambli's 224 against England in the 1992-93 Test and many more.
-It has been designated as the home ground for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
3. HPCA Cricket Stadium, Dharamshala

-Most Beautiful Cricket Stadium in India.
-A cricket ground where a bowler can accurately be described as running in from the Himalayas end is clearly an unusual addition to the international circuit.
-The venue is situated at an altitude of 1,457 m (4,780 ft 2 in) above sea level.
-It has the spectacular snow-capped Himalayan mountains in the background.
-This venue has the fastest Pitch in India.
4. Mohali Cricket Stadium
Also or formerly known as PCA Cricket Stadium
Established 1993
Capacity 45,000
-In the year of 1993, Hero Cup match between India and South Africa was played and it was the first International One Day cricket played on this ground.
-The first International test match was in 1994 between India and West Indies.
5. Feroz Shah Kotla Ground, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Delhi
Established 1883
Capacity 55,000
-Second oldest international cricket stadium still functional in India, after the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
-In the 21st century, the Feroz Shah Kotla is famed for its cauldron-like atmosphere.
-The vociferous home support has led to a great winning sequence for India in Test matches, and the India national cricket team has been undefeated for over 20 years at this ground.
-The ground is most famously known for Anil Kumble's 10 wickets in an innings against Pakistan, Sachin Tendulkar's 35th test ton to overcome Sunil Gavaskar to become the batsman with the most international Test centuries, and formerly Gavaskar's 29th test ton to equal Don Bradman's tally of 29 centuries.
