1. Amba Vilas Palace
-Official residence of the Royal Family of Mysore i.e. Wodeyars.

-Mysore Palace is now one of the most famous tourist attractions in India, after the Taj Mahal, and has more than 3 million visitors annually.

2. Laxmi Vilas Palace
-One of the biggest palaces in the World.
-4 times larger than Buckingham Palace, England.
-Official Residence of the Baroda Royal Family i.e. Gaekwad dynasty.
-Built : 1890
-Architectural Style : Maratha, Indo-Saracenic
-Total Cost : 1,80,000 GBP
-Built by : Maharaja Sayyajirao Gaekwad III
-Architect : Major Charles Mant
-Visiting Hours : 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM (Lunch time 1 PM to 1.30 PM)
-Entry Fee for Palace : Rs. 150 per person. There is no entry fee for kids below 10 years. Closed on Monday.
3. Jai Vilas Palace
-Constructed by Maharaja Jayaji Rao scindia in 1874 at a cost of Rs. One crore.
-Style : European architecture, designed and built by Sir Michael Filose.
-Area : 12,40,771 square feet.
-Gilt and gold furnishings were used for decorating the Durbar Hall, which is adorned with a huge carpet and gigantic chandeliers.
-Has 400 rooms from which exclusively 40 rooms are transformed into Jiwaji Rao Scindia Museum.
4. Umaid Bhawan Palace
-One of the largest private resident in the World.
-Owned by the Royal Family of Jodhpur.
-Built : 1943
-The Palace is divided into three functional parts - A luxury Taj Palace Hotel (in existence since 1972), the residence of the owner's royal family, and a Museum focusing on the 20th century history of the Jodhpur Royal Family.
-The opening hours of this museum are 9 am to 5 pm.
-There is also a gallery showcasing the most exotic automobiles owned by the royals.
5. Lake Palace (Jag Niwas)
-Built between 1743 - 1746.
-Built By Maharana Jagat Singh II (62nd successor to the royal dynasty of Mewar) of Udaipur, Rajasthan.
-Was used as a summer palace by the royal family and was initially called Jagniwas or Jan Niwas after its founder.
-Now it is a luxury hotel, which has 83 rooms and suites featuring white marble walls.
-Area : 4 acres
