As a matter of fact, a major portion of years covered under the above couple of decades, all the urban citizen of Shillong, irrespective of class or clan, have faced some unwanted situations very often and way of living became almost crippled during the period. Thereafter, the state started developing in all sectors and which has been continuing till date. With the change of overall scenario of Shillong and its surrounding, leaving past the old beauty, as I felt, nomenclature of the stretch of land earlier known as ‘Scotland of the East ‘to be redefined as ‘The Queen Of Seven Sisters’.
