2. Spring Temple Buddha
Reportedly the tallest statue on earth, the Spring Temple Buddha scales a height of 128 meters and if one takes into consideration the pedestal on which the main statue stands, the height is a staggering 208 meters. This giant creation is located in Zhaocun township of Lushan country in China
3. Ushiku Daibatsu
This statue is a symbol of devotion and a major landmark in Japan Located in Ushiku, the Ushiku Daibatsu is a depiction of the Amitabha Buddha and measures a mammoth 120 meters in height. The highest you can get to see it is 85 meters where you can take an elevator ride to reach the observatory deck.
4. Lakyun Setkyar
The Lakyun Setkyar statue in Khatakan Taung village of Myanmar also makes room for itself in this list. Opened very recently on February 21st 2008, this statue stands at 116 meters and has proved to be a major travel attraction of the country.
5. Guanyin Sanya
This is a gigantic statue with three facades facing different directions- mainland China and South China Sea. Situated in Hainan province of China, the Guanyin Sanya is a 108 meters tall structure of the deity. All these statues are the ultimate specimen of the supreme human creativity and endeavour.
