1. Indian Botanical Garden
Indian Botanical Garden is one of the largest and oldest botanical garden present in India. This garden is situated in Sibpur near Calcutta. A total area of 110 hectares is covered. Around 15,000 live specimens including a large collection of bamboos, cycads and palms are present there.
2. National Botanic Garden
The site of the National Botanic Garden is generally known to the Sikandar Bagh to the public of Lucknow. It is spread over 75 acres on the south bank of the river Gomti. When you enter the garden you will see a large orchard on both the sides of the road. On the left side is Citrus orchard and on the right mango orchard with “dasehri”, “safeda” and other famous ieties of mangoes.
3. Lloyd Botanic Garden
The Lloyd Botanic Garden is located in Darjeeling. The area covered by this garden is 40 acres. Some of the colorful features of this garden are beautiful alpine plants, geraniums, composites, rhododendrons, conifers as well as rock gardens, the conservatories, the herbaceous borders and the annual beds of flowering plants.

This Botanical Garden was started in 1779. The garden covers an area of nearly 40 acres in which there are different segments for Linnaean gardens and Agriculture and horticultural nurseries.
5. Garden of Indian Agricultural Research Institute
This garden is situated in New Delhi and covers an area of 60 acres. It is maintained chiefly as an experimental garden of the Institute. In addition, it carries on other functions of a Botanic Garden.
6. Pinjore Garden
Pinjore Garden is located in Panchkula and is known as Yadavindra Garden and was made by Patiala dynasty rulers. It is one of the most beautiful Mughal gardens present in India. It is open from timings 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. It covers an area of around 100 acres.
