Everyone likes to get a wasted sometimes and what other way to do it than bring out the king of good times, ALCOHOL!! As soon as something as big as a wedding or as small as a get together is planned, alcohol is one of the prime factors that is kept in consideration all over the world. Though, to curb the alcohol's adverse effects, many countries across the world have set the legal age of drinking. BUT it is interesting to know that there are few countries, which have not put any restriction on age limit for consuming alcohol. 1. Spain
Drinking Age - 16. Spain is generous and allows consuming alcohol in public places at the ripe age of 16! So, if you love partying and you are teen lad, Spain is the place for you. Other than Spain countries like Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Suriname and Switzerland also allow drinking at the age of 16.
2. United Kingdom
Drinking Age - 18. UK knows how to make merry, plethora of clubs and lounges and frequent parties makes it obvious. In United Kingdom the legal age of drinking is 18 and there is no stopping then!! Along with UK, Canada, Brazil, South Africa and Nepal legalize drinking at the same age.
3. United States of America
Drinking Age - 21. USA let its citizens wait till the age of 21 for the consumption of alcohol. However, there are many states in US that have set 18 as the minimum age of drinking. Apart from USA in Indonesia, Qatar, UAE and Fiji have the minimum drinking age set as 21.
4. India
Drinking Age - 18 to 25. In India, the minimum legal age for drinking varies from state to state. Where it is 18 in the states like Karnataka and Sikkim, 21 is fixed for drinking in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Delhi, Mumbai and Punjab are the states of late bloomers as the MLDA set here is the age of 25 years.
5. Albania
No Drinking Age. Good spirited Albania in Europe keeps drinking liberal. There is no fixed age of drinking, which means you can get wasted big time here! But it is not only Albania that enjoys this liberty, countries like Uruguay, Armenia, Israel and Singapore are sailing in the same boat.
