India gate is located in New Delhi and called as king's way. This has a very special importance that is it has 82000 names of the soldiers that died during the First World War. All the names are Indian army soldiers.
There are some names of the soldiers and the officers from United Kingdom and are numbered in 13,300 and are all inscribed on this India gate.
1. History
India gate has a big history and that is all about the wars. The foundation stone for this is laid in 1921 of February tenth. This is designed by Edwin Lutyens and has a very good resemblance of the Indian war memories. This Indian Gate is always illuminated in the night and attracts many of the tourists. Some of the traffic is passed through this and even during the republic day the parade passé through this.

This is a 42 meter tall is a hexagonal complex. The diameter of this is 625 meters and it coners and are of approximately 306,000 square meters. The inscriptions are flanked from the dates of MCMXIV and MCMXIX that is in normal numeric language they are from 1914 to 1919. There is an inscription that is about the services and the honor of the country that was given by the mighty soldiers by sacrificing their lives. There are many names and these are not allowed to read and there are some websites that give these details of all the units and the locations and also the names. 3. Amar Jawan Jyothi
This is one place where the immortal soldiers are memorized with the black marble stage on which a L1L1 self-loading rifle in a reverse position is fixed and a war helmet is placed on the top and is surrounded by urns on each side. These are lit and burnt permanently with the help of CNG and in the memory of many soldiers died during the liberation of Bangladesh.
And there are many soldiers who sacrificed their lives in wars and they are all memorized in this location and as a respectable place.
India gate is a patriotic place that pays tribute to every soldier who made India safe. There are other monuments around this India gate and are all undertaken by the Indian government of their maintenance and promotion.
