There are several restaurants at Bir, where you can order the Pahadi foods, which has a different and unique aroma because of yoghurt

1. Dhaam
The complete thali with full of healthy and nutritious stuff, it is containing dal, rajma, Kari,rice, chapati, kali dal, curd, papad and gud, but the best part of the taste and fragrance which comes with local ingredients, it is occasionally served food and made by the special chef, formerly known a “botis “
2. Siddu
"One of the most popular local dish “can be easily found everywhere at Himachal and in Bir, It is made of white floor with the stuffing of mutton and or vegetables,
It is half cooked than steam thick stuff, served with desi ghee but nowadays it is being served with momo chutney and green mint chutney.
3. Aktori
This dish is mainly made during festivals, it is a kind of cake which is made of buckwheat leaves and bunded with wheat flour, served with chutney, the origin of this cake is somewhere in Lahaul Spiti but it is very popular across the entire state and easily available everywhere in Himachal.
4. Mittha
Mittha is basically the mixture of sweet rice and cooked in pure ghee with heavy amounts of dry fruits. This sweet is served on some special occasions, Mitta dish contains the orange colours in it because saffrons are being mixed in this for special flavours and aroma.
5. Tibetan Dish
You should visit some nearby local restaurants which is running by only Tibetans, the first dish they will offer will be a kind of soup, then you may get a chance to taste Tsampa, Tibetan, Momo, Balep,if you are lucky you may get the chance to enjoy Chang a kind of beer, of course, the taste you will get here will be never forgettable, you may get these dishes somewhere outside to but you can experience the original flavour only only only here at Bir
