2. Pelling Tourism Festival
Pelling Tourism Festival in Pelling or known as Khangchendzonga Winter Tourism Festival is the most famous program of Sikkim. Cultural extravaganza, the sale of local handicrafts, handlooms and local cuisine are the key features of the festival. 3. Loosong festival Phodong and Rumtek Monasteries
Lossong is celebrated all over the land of Sikkim as it marks the finish of the harvest season. This is done at the end of the 10th month of the Tibetan calendar. In Enchey Monastery this festival is celebrated by having a religious marked dance. In their tradition, this is a way to thank God for the good harvest. This dance also explains their prayers for the upcoming crops. This dance is something very pure as it is believed that it finishes all the negativity and welcome new spirits by practicing it. Lossong is an important festival of Sikkim where visitors from all over the world can be spotted. Local sporting events like archery, climbing of greased pole can also be seen at this place. 4. Christmas at Gangtok
Christmas is celebrated in almost every place in the world. Celebrating Christmas in Gangtok can be a total fun at this place people visit different churches to seek blessings of God. There is festive look found in December in Gangtok as Christmas fall in this month. It is believed that people of Sikkim enjoy every festival with great pomp and show. 5. Namprikdang Namsoong, Dzongu
To welcome the good spirits for the New Year this festival is celebrated. Namsoong has now gained a lot of attraction and tourists from all over the world are present there.
