You think the sharp U-turn in the highway flyover that leads to your office is very deadly and an eternal threat to your car and your life? Or the biker gang that just zoomed past your with roaring torque has caused you to curse them as you assumed you could have crushed in the bridge barricade? Take a chill pill and thank heaven that you don't have to travel on some really scary and life threatening roads on a regular basis.
1. Fairy Meadows
The name is Fairy Meadows. Hold on your fancy now, though it is a stunning destination with awesome landscape and photo opps, the road leading to this place could be a serious reason for some cardiac arrest! Located in the foothills of Nanga Parbat in Pakistan, Fairy Meadows is accessible through a path that is marked with rocky ways, skidding tracks and without any safety barricades.
2. Skipper's Road
If you are game for doing some adventure, you have such a road in the mesmerizing Queenstown region of New Zeleand. Known as Skipper's Road, this route is all about narrow, promiscuous and misleading trial along in Skippers Canyon along the Shotover river. The 17 miles stretch of this route took a long 22 years to be completed and is a total hub for danger as it is bereft of any traffic management and guardrails. Have a nice drives fellows!
3. Pan-American Highway
The part of the Pan-American Highway that makes way through the Costa Rican mountains to connect San Isidro de General to Cartago in Costa Rica is also an open invitation to danger for the drivers. Left aside the turbulent road, other factors that can make life hell for drivers are its altitude (13,000 feet), extremely cold conditions, heavy fog and of course some psycho truck guys. Keep a check on the gear mate!
They are deceptive, cruel and very subtly attractive. Some of them are very beautiful apparently, but you have to run an engineer powered by horse power to know the depth of its killing curves and slides.
