1. Air India Starts Its Seat Booking Option To Its Passengers
For Air India travelers, there is exciting news for enjoying a happy journey within Indian and to foreign countries. The airline has started to provide the seat selection option for passengers from this month to book their preferred seat in flight with an additional charge. Now economy class flyers can book the domestic flight seat for an additional charge of Rs. 500 however, the charges are slightly hiked for the international flights. This decision is considered the best way for the airline to earn extra revenue. This facility is also extended to the Saarc countries including Saudi Arabia along with every domestic route.
The charges for various foreign countries will be as United States Rs. 3,500 or $50, Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom is RS. 3,000. For Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok, the respective charges are RS. 2,000, RS. 1,800, RS. 1,500 and RS. 1,200. Further Air India charges Rs. 1,000 for a flight to or from the Gulf, except Bahrain, for which the charge is Rs. 1,250. Officials also confirmed that the seat selection is available till three hours before the flight departure and it can be cancelled before 48 hours for full refund.
