1. Bollywood
When you think of India, you think of Bollywood; how gracious the colors are, the music, and the magic behind the movies. Bollywood is the biggest film producer in the world producing 1100 movies every year. Located in Mumbai, Bollywood is ahead of Hollywood and slightly ahead of Nigeria's Nollywood.
2. Varanasi
Varanasi also known as, Benares was established in 500 B.C, following the visit of Lord Buddha. The Ancient city sits 200 miles from Lucknow, state capital of Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of river Ganga. Among the seven sacred cities, Varanasi remains the holiest, a real pride of India.
3. Indus Valley Civilization
India hosted one of the oldest and largest civilizations that flourished approximately 5000 BC to 1500 BC. The Indus Valley Civilization was an ancient civilization located in what is Pakistan and northwest India today, on the fertile flood plain of the Indus River and its vicinity. Evidence of religious practices in this area date back approximately to 5500 BCE. Farming settlements began around 4000 BCE and around 3000 BCE there appeared the first signs of urbanization. By 2600 BCE, dozens of towns and cities had been established, and between 2500 and 2000 BCE the Indus Valley Civilization was at its peak.

6. Takshila University
India hosted the first ever university in the world which was, built in Takshila in 700 BC. During that time, the university hosted 10,500 students all studying more than 60 different subjects. Nalanda University as portrayed was, built in the 4-century. These were one of the greatest amazing achievements in education.
7. Algebra
Interestingly algebra, calculus, and trigonometry originated from India. The first use of quadratic equations was in the 11th century by Sridharacharya. 8. Democracy
India is the largest democracy in the world. 2014 elections in India had a total of 814.5 million eligible voters and a turnout of 66.38% totaling over 540 million voters. These were the biggest general election in the world. The country has 543 parliamentary seats. The election process took nine phases making it the longest election in the world.
9. Mangoes
Currently, India is the world's biggest consumer and producer of mangoes. India produces more than 40% of the total world mangoes ahead of Bangladesh, Thailand, and China. In India, there are hundreds of different Indian mangoes, 30 of which are used for commercially purposes. Indians believe that the Alfonso Mango is the best in world.
10. Megacities in India
Number one is Delhi, which has recently been accorded by the UN as the world's second largest urban city with 22.65 million occupants. The second Megacity as depicted is, Mumbai portrayed at seventh, and Calcutta ranks tenth.
